Shezmu come from Montreal and after two successive EPs in 2018, (respectively named The Scent of War and Breaching The Tomb), they are releasing this month their first full length titled À Travers Les Lambeaux.
Their sound is Death Metal and in my book this is THE right way that Death Metal should be composed and played : Fast but based on memorable and interesting riffs, slow and groovy when needed in order to create the right atmosphere and last but not least using but not meaninglessly abusing blast beats. As I have written numerous times, this blog is not operating professionally. It is maintained at the expense of my own free time (and money) but getting access to albums like À Travers Les Lambeaux is one of the reasons that keep me running it. Great debut !
