Houkago Grind Time is a one-man Grind core project from USA and "their" debut album Bakyunsified (Moe to the Gore) is due to be released in November. I have to say that I am not very much knowledgable about the anime/manga culture therefore I do not get the reference behind the band's name but that does not really matter since for me it was not difficult to be positively preoccupied about the album after reading in the press release that the lyrical content is a message to friendship, growth, and positivity, things and values very much needed nowadays in our world.
And what about the music ? As already mentioned, it is grind core (or mincegore) which I particularly liked very much. Excellent riffs and a quite straight forward delivery that is not trying to hide its punk and crust influences. Overall assessment : Excellent album !
